Hi everyone, I've been interested in working in libraries for a while, especially health libraries but I'm also open to academic or public libraries. However, I have 0 experience. I've had ill health for a number of years so don't even have transferrable skills from other jobs. Happy to volunteer but obviously, COVID I've been searching for opportunities for experience since before lockdown. I applied for a (very good) librarianship masters program and got my acceptance letter today. However, I've been doing my research and am finding a lot of current librarians saying how brutal the job market is and how the pay is terrible and they are under appreciated etc. I'm wondering if UK people can share their experience? I have a back up job direction (HR management) but know I would love this masters program if only I could be sure it was worth it!

Is there any medication, and is it even worth it? What about other people thinking you're a crazy person? Thank you for any and all responses. I could really use some support. 😭 Edit: For the record I'm a male who's about to turn 27. Edit 2: I'm a vegan whose blood test just came back with a perfect nutritional profile... I don't think changing my diet will help me like it has others. I don't drink or do drugs either, and never have (other than marijuana). Has anyone had success with dermabrasion therapy from a dermatologist?
